About the artwork
Un scooter bleu cabossé, garé sur une place ensoleillée de la médina, porte une pile vertigineuse de tapis berbères rayés, couronnée d’un panier d’oranges. Des murs crème chaleureux, du zellige et un ciel bleu profond encadrent une scène qui lance la conversation dans une entrée, un bureau ou un salon.
L’expression. ماكين مشكل (makayn mouchkil) signifie « il n’y a pas de problème ». Les Marocains le disent avec le sourire, quelle que soit la situation : tout va bien se passer. Un peu de réconfort, un peu de philosophie : le portrait en une phrase de l’éternel optimisme marocain. Le lettrage suit le style maghribi, la calligraphie du Maroc et d’Al-Andalus, aux courbes amples et fluides.
